Ear Tapers, Tunnels and Plugs FAQ

Can you stretch your ears with silicone tunnels

It is not recommended. Silicone tunnels are flexible and best for healed piercings, not for stretching. To stretch safely, use smooth ear tapers or steel expanders and increase your size slowly over time.

How to stretch your ears with tapers

Clean your hands, jewellery, and ears first. Insert the ear taper gently, applying a small amount of lubricant to ease it through. Once it slides in comfortably, replace it with a tunnel or plug of the same size. Always stretch gradually and give your lobes time to adjust between sizes.

Do ear tunnels close up

Smaller ear tunnels may shrink over time if jewellery is removed, especially if not fully healed. Larger gauges are less likely to close completely but may reduce slightly. Keeping your jewellery in and maintaining consistent care helps your stretch stay secure.
