Do not remove your jewellery during the healing phase, as this can cause the piercing to close and make reinsertion difficult. How do I care for a healing cheek piercing?
Clean the outer side of the piercing as directed by your piercing specialist, using a saline solution rather than any product applied directly to the jewellery. Rinse your mouth with an alcohol-free mouthwash after eating to keep the inside of the piercing clean, as advised by your piercing specialist.
