It's a bold, versatile placement that suits everyone, with jewellery designed for both fresh and healed piercings. What jewellery is worn in an eyebrow piercing?

Eyebrow piercings are worn with a curved barbell, fitted at 16G in a length of 8mm or 10mm. The slight curve follows the natural angle of the brow, sitting more comfortably than a straight bar would in this placement. Top designs range from simple balls to gems and shapes, so you can keep it subtle or make it a statement piece.

What length curved barbell do I need for an eyebrow piercing?

Eyebrow barbells are fitted at 16G in 8mm or 10mm lengths, with the right length depending on the depth of the piercing and how much swelling occurs while healing. A bar that's too short can put pressure on the piercing, while one that's too long may sit loosely and be prone to catching or migrating. Your piercing specialist will confirm the correct length at your appointment and again once healing progresses.

Can I wear Surgical Steel in a fresh eyebrow piercing?

Yes, Surgical Steel is what our piercing specialists use for fresh eyebrow piercings in studio, and it's a safe, valid choice while you heal. Surgical Steel can be used in fresh piercings, though our piercing specialists recommend implant grade Titanium or 14K Gold during healing, since Surgical Steel contains trace nickel and isn't hypoallergenic. Do not remove your jewellery during the healing phase, as this can cause the piercing to close.

How does an eyebrow piercing compare to a bridge piercing?

An eyebrow piercing sits at an angle through the brow and is worn with a 16G curved barbell at 8mm or 10mm. A bridge piercing sits horizontally across the top of the nose, between the eyes, and uses a longer 14G straight barbell at 10mm to 14mm. Both are surface-style facial piercings, but the placement, gauge and jewellery style are different, so they suit different looks and anatomy.
