Surgical Steel is what our piercing specialists use for fresh nostril piercings in studio, and it's a safe, valid choice while you heal. Surgical Steel can be used in fresh piercings, though our piercing specialists recommend implant grade Titanium or 14K Gold during the healing phase, since Titanium doesn't carry the trace nickel found in Surgical Steel. Do not remove your jewellery during the healing phase, as this can cause the piercing to close.
How does an L-bend stud compare to a bendable ring?
An L-bend stud has an angled post that sits securely inside the nostril, giving a flush, minimal look with no visible back. A bendable ring is a flexible hoop that curves around the piercing and sits slightly more visible against the nostril, often used once a piercing has healed.
